– Helping Hands mission –

nourish our community with kindness and respect without judgement

Vision: Helping Hands Food Bank addresses the inequality of the food bank experience and ensures every citizen has access to high-quality food and resources to help them thrive.

Helping Hands Food Bank and Solutions Center is a private, non-profit that partners with local food providers and community organizations to provide the best services possible, making a positive difference for local families and the Skagit County community. It is all possible because of our generous community support.

We are Skagit County’s largest emergency food provider and require no prequalification to access our resources.

Helping Hands is open four days a week at our distribution site and offices in Sedro-Woolley, including Friday evenings, allowing everyone the ability to participate and receive support. We also have six different distribution sites across Skagit County (Anacortes, Burlington, Hamilton, Marblemount, and Swinomish) to offer easier access to more of our neighbors in need. We are more than a food bank; we are a solutions center. Helping Hands is active in grocery rescue six days a week, helping eliminate approximately 22 carbon footprints each month. The Helping Hands Solutions staff can offer support and assistance to issues that contribute to an individual or family experiencing food insecurity, including unemployment, homelessness, and more.
